"For my Eagle Project, I designed and built a visiting garden at Sandpiper Post Acute to provide residents with a space to enjoy fresh air and sunlight. The project was inspired by my great-grandma’s experience there, where the indoor environment felt gloomy. I wanted to create an outdoor area where residents could relax and get much-needed Vitamin D. Although my great-grandma passed away during the project, I dedicated its completion to her memory.
The garden includes seating areas, flower beds, and shaded spots for comfort. It has become a place where residents and their families can visit and enjoy nature, providing a brighter and more uplifting atmosphere for everyone."
